AH32 MARINE STEEL PLATE
AH32 is a marine steel plate, mainly used to manufacture the hulls and decks of ocean-going, coastal and inland shipping vessels.
Marine steel plates refer to hot-rolled steel plates used to manufacture hull structures produced according to the construction specifications of classification societies. Mainly used to manufacture the hulls and decks of ocean-going, coastal and inland shipping vessels. The working environment of ships is harsh, and the hull shell must withstand chemical corrosion, electrochemical corrosion, and corrosion by marine organisms and microorganisms from seawater; it must also withstand large wind and wave impacts and alternating loads; coupled with the complexity of ship processing and forming, strict requirements are placed on the steel used in hull structures. Good toughness is the most critical requirement. In addition, it must have high strength, good corrosion resistance, welding performance, processing and forming performance, and surface quality. Its Mn/C ratio should be above 2.5, and there are also strict requirements for carbon equivalent, and it must be produced by a steel mill approved by the ship inspection department. Steels used for hull structures are divided into general strength steel and high strength steel. The quality of general strength steel is divided into four grades: A, B, D, and E; high strength steel is divided into two strength levels and three quality grades: AH32, DH32, EH32, AH36, DH36, and EH36.
